Description

Little antique Victorian mahogany sewing table, side table with two drawers and two drop leaves, on turned legs, made around 1890-1900 probably. Brass knobs on the drawers. At the rear there are two false drawer fronts; the knobs on those are not all complete. The leaves are held up when in use by nicely shaped supports which swing out. Great for a bedside table. Condition is fairly good: it's solid enough but there's an old repair to one rear leg, done with blacksmith made brackets, by the look of it. The leg is slightly skew and there's some slight movement but it's pretty good (see pics). A chunk out of one top edge, visible when the top is closed (also pictured). The top is quite faded and marked, particularly the central section, and there are various marks, scuffs and dings throughout but all kind of part of the vibe, and the price is not silly.
